Lodging franchisor Choice Hotels International has announced the integration of Mews as a property management system (PMS) option for its international franchisees.
This collaboration is set to deliver robust integrations, user-friendly workflows, and a cloud-native architecture, aiming to enhance connectivity, streamline operations, and drive guest loyalty across Choice Hotels' expanding portfolio.
Choice Hotels' chief information officer Brian Kirkland said: 'As hospitality evolves, expanding our international connectivity and platform options are essential to franchisees.
'This agreement with Mews will provide another cloud-based platform option to serve Choice hotel owners outside of the US with a tool that can meet their region-specific needs.'
Mews is designed to seamlessly connect with Choice Hotels' proprietary, cloud-based customer reservation system, choiceEDGE.
This integration is expected to offer real-time updates on rates and availability across all booking channels, allowing seamless guest interactions.
Choice Hotels franchisees are said to gain visibility of full data, including real-time access to property-level data, which is anticipated to facilitate strategic, data-driven operations.
The partnership promises operational efficiencies through smart automation tools built to lessen manual front desk, housekeeping, and payment tasks.
Additionally, the flexible infrastructure of Mews' PMS is expected to adapt to the diverse brand portfolio of Choice Hotels, maintaining service consistency and enabling scalable growth.
Mews CEO Matt Welle said: 'We're excited to help Choice Hotels set a new benchmark in modern, connected hospitality, and this agreement marks another significant milestone for Mews as it continues to expand its footprint in the enterprise hospitality space.
'Mews was built to empower enterprise hotel groups with a flexible, scalable, and open ecosystem. Together, we're redefining the future of hotel franchising with innovation, efficiency and exceptional guest experiences.'
Choice Hotels has a history of pioneering industry-first owner-facing technologies, such as the launch of choiceEDGE in 2018, the first cloud-based central reservation system (CRS) in the industry.
In 2019, Choice Hotels became the first hospitality company to fully migrate to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud, and it introduced an AI mobile-first revenue management solution, ChoiceMAX, in 2021.
In 2024, Choice Hotels completed its digital transformation by closing its last data centre, becoming the first major hotel company to fully transition its entire system infrastructure to AWS.
Earlier this year, Pelham Hospitality also partnered with Mews to centralise operations and enhance guest experiences in its three boutique properties in Cape Cod, US.
By adopting the Mews platform, Pelham aims to streamline reservations, upselling efforts, and sales and catering operations.
