SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Cidara Therapeutics Inc. (CDTX) on Monday reported a loss of $16.8 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the San Diego-based company said it had a loss of 26 cents.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $7.2 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $42.5 million, or 81 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $49.6 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company's shares hit 67 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $2.31.
