PLANO, Texas (AP) _ Cinemark Holdings Inc. (CNK) on Friday reported a loss of $74 million in its first quarter.

The Plano, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 62 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 61 cents per share.

The movie theater owner posted revenue of $460.5 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $443 million.
