Appointment of Mr Ong Lian Jin Colin as a Non-Executive and Independent Director of the Company

The Board of Directors of City Developments Limited (the "Company") wishes to announce that Mr Ong Lian Jin Colin has been appointed as a Non-Executive and Independent Director of the Company with effect from 7 October 2020.

Mr Ong is currently the Executive Senior Director of Great Eastern Financial Advisers, a position held since 2011. He has worked in the insurance industry from 1992, for more than 28 years. A strong advocate of leadership by example, he has achieved the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) 25 times during his career span from 1993 to 2020 and has fulfilled his dream of becoming an MDRT Quarter Century Club Member. Recognising his exemplary leadership and contributions to agency building, Mr Ong was a recipient of the Centennial Award by Great Eastern Life in 2008, an accolade awarded to only three senior Directors on its 100th year anniversary to recognise their contributions to Great Eastern Life over the years.

Taking into consideration Mr Ong's credentials, business leadership and sales and entrepreneur experience, the Board looks forward to Mr Ong's contribution of skills and diversity to the current core competencies of the Board.

Further details of Mr Ong's appointment which are required to be disclosed pursuant to Rule 704(7) of the Listing Manual of Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST") will be released in a separate announcement to SGX-ST.
