(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Civitas Social Housing PLC, up 1.5% at 62.34 pence, 12-month range 57.2p-99.12p. The healthcare real estate investment trust says its net asset value per share on September 30 is 114.84 pence, up 5.9% from 108.49p a year prior. Net rental income in the six months that ended September 30 rises 6.0% to GBP26.6 million from GBP25.1 million, which Civitas Social Housing says reflects clear demand for fairly priced, high-quality and sustainable housing. Civitas Social Housing expects rental growth to continue in the medium term in line with inflation, noting that around 30% of its leases have consumer price index uplifts capped at 4%.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

Enquest PLC, down 3.0% at 23.05p, 12-month range 16.9p-37.35p. Like larger peers BP and Shell, the oil and gas stock was suffering from a slide in oil prices. Brent was quoted at USD81.74 a barrel early Tuesday, down from USD84.95 late Monday. Enquest also says it has hired Gareth Penny as non-executive chair, starting Tuesday. Penny currently is chair of money manager Ninety One PLC and Ltd, having previously been the chair of Norilsk Nickel. Penny spent 12 years on the board of private bank Julius Baer Group AG and 22 years at Anglo American PLC's De Beers group, with five years as chief executive officer of De Beers.

DWF Group PLC, down 3.1% at 76.56 pence, 12-month range 67.05p-130.81p. The legal business closes the acquisition of Whitelaw Twining Law Corp and TWK Management Ltd as part of its expansion of offerings in North America. As part of the CAD42.6 million, around GBP29.9 million, transaction, it will issue 16.5 million shares in early January, with further shares of up to GBP2.0 million to be issued in February if certain targets are met.
