Immerse partners with CJ OliveNetworks to drive adoption of VR training in Korea.

Immerse, a leading provider of virtual reality (VR) training for business has announced a strategic partnership with CJ OliveNetworks, part of the CJ Group, to actively pursue enterprise VR training platform opportunities in the Korean market.

GiHo Ro, Director and Head of AR/VR Business Team at CJ OliveNetworks comments,'VR training will significantly save time and money for employee training and furthermore reduce errors and increase operational efficiencies for enterprises. Through extensive testing of the Immerse VEP, we feel that it is the best platform to enable us to maximise the opportunities we have identified in the Korean market.'

Through its partnership with Immerse, CJ OliveNetworks plans to develop bespoke VR training content catering to the various needs of the Korean market, including manufacturing, logistics, retail, assembly, health and safety among others. They will utilise Immerse's Virtual Enterprise Platform (VEP) to provide scalable and measurable training environments, transforming the way employees train and learn.

Tom Symonds, CEO of Immerse states, 'Partnering with CJ OliveNetworks is an extremely important relationship for Immerse. As part of the CJ Group, they have the knowledge and expertise to accelerate the use of VR training in the region. Through our VEP they will have access to the appropriate tools and platform to quickly exploit opportunities and to roll them out at scale.'

CJ OliveNetworks has already successfully completed VR training projects with CJ CheilJedang and CJ Construction and are currently discussing the launch of further implementation projects outside of the CJ Group in 2020.

A VR Pneumatic System Simulator was developed for CJ CheilJedang which trains field technicians to analyse a circuit diagram, enabling interaction with key pneumatic circuit components and controls. For CJ Construction, a partially constructed building was created in VR using the actual Building Information Modeling (BIM) data. This was used for onboarding new employees, challenging them to identify defects and corrective measures using various tools in VR.
