Century Bancorp, Inc. voted to increase its regular quarterly dividend from 12.00 cents ($0.12) per share to 14.00 cents ($0.14) per share on the Company's Class A common stock, and from 6.00 cents ($0.06) per share to 7.00 cents ($0.07) per share on the Company's Class B common stock. The dividends were declared payable August 17, 2020 to stockholders of record on August 3, 2020. This represents the first dividend increase since 2003.

Century Bancorp, Inc. is a state-chartered bank holding company. It has a banking subsidiary: Century Bank and Trust Company (the Bank). It offers a range of services to commercial enterprises, state and local governments and agencies, non-profit organizations, and individuals. It operates banking offices in cities and towns in Massachusetts, ranging from Braintree in the south to Andover in the north. Its customers consist of small and medium-sized businesses and retail customers, as well as local governments and institutions throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York. It provides commercial loans; real estate and construction loans, and consumer loans, and accepts savings, time and demand deposits.
