Notice Regarding Implementation of Chief Officer System
Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc. today announced it will implement a Chief Officer system effective January 1, 2022, and assign eight officers as follows.
Chief Officers will be given the final authority and responsibility to lead and control the specific functions of our group they are respectively delegated from the President. They will also be fully in charge of controlling their functions in a holistic and agile manner, making decisions for their organizations and leading collaborative operations with other functions on matters that can be best executed through a cross-functional approach. In addition to the existing CFO (Chief Financial Officer), the following new positions will be created: CEO (Chief Executive Officer), CCO (Chief Commercial Officer),CSCO (Chief Supply Chain Officer), CTO (Chief Transformation Officer),CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer), CPO (Chief Procurement Officer), and CLO (Chief Legal Officer).
The executive members who were delegated with the authority and responsibility to exhibit their full powers as function heads have been developing and executing strategies for their respective organizations with speed and consistency. Going forward, they will not only further bolster the pivotal role they play as top leaders but will also strengthen the governance and accelerate the initiatives to streamline the operations in their functions more than ever.
Through the implementation of the Chief Officer system, the management intends to build a stronger relationship of trust with all the stakeholders both globally and locally, while continuing to focus on driving our group's sustainable growth and corporate value enhancement.
