Spac, as leader of a consortium of companies, has carried out a major EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) project including engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the new gas station in Loretto, near Ajaccio, Corsica. The objective? To improve the safety of the site by replacing the storage facilities. The program included more than three years of work, 60,000 cubic meters of earthworks, 50 kilometers of electrical cables, 250 tons of piping, 50 tons of structures and the involvement of an architect to integrate the site into its environment. The works were completed in April 2021 and the gas connection and start-up operations were completed at the end of December 2021 for a transfer of the installations to ENGIE scheduled for the end of January 2022. The GME (Groupement Momentané d'Entreprises) Spac, Bouygues Travaux Publics Régions France, Engicon and Vendasi, set up specifically for the project, brought together nearly 100 people at the height of the activities, all in complete safety, with more than 400,000 hours without a lost-time accident.
