Coles Group to launch SECOS' MyEcoBagTM compostable bag products in 770 retail stores across Australia. The selection by Coles follows a recent range review involving SECOS' compostable products and is on the back of significant sales growth YoY for MyEcoBagTM in Woolworths stores. For Coles, SECOS will launch a new shelf-ready presentation pack of the well-received 36L pack and a new 27L pack. Both packs are ideal for kitchen food & garden waste
diversion to green bins FOGO programs, providing a fully compostable solution. Coles has added the two MyEcoBag SKUs on a non-trail basis, which will be distributed nationally. The ongoing supply of the two MyEcoBag SKUs will be subject to meeting sales projections as part of the annual range review.
The significant growth in MyEcoBagTM sales in Woolworths and now Coles will take the MyEco branded products to over 2000 retail stores in Australia. This store footprint plus company Australian-wide distribution network, which supplies a select range of independents stores gives SECOS a significant retail reach. SECOS will continue to look for opportunities to add additional compostable bin liner SKUs and new products such as its MyEcoPet dog waste bags into its existing relationships with Coles, Woolworths, and other stores. This strategy will ensure SECOS captures as much market share as possible with its portfolio of MyEco branded products. The increased sales of the MyEco range in Australia will be supported by SECOS' recent manufacturing capacity expansion in the Group's new Malaysian biopolymer plant which commenced production in the March 2022 quarter with capacity to support annual sales of $25 million. The launch of MyEcoTM products to 770 Coles stores underpins the success of SECOS' plan for a national rollout of its compostable product range. Total retail store numbers are now expected to increase to over 2000 stores nationally by the end of November 2022 with MyEcoTM products becoming available at Coles in addition to Woolworths and a range of independent retailers throughout Australia.
