On Wednesday 14 July, the Colruyt Lowest Prices store of Scherpenheuvel opens its doors after renovation work. The store has expanded by a fifth, giving customers the choice of an even wider range of products. Moreover, it has a brand-new Collect&Go pick-up point.
Large choice of goods
The store was completely renovated and became larger by a fifth. Store manager Evy Vanborren: 'From now on, customers can choose from an even broader range of products, especially in the expanded fresh market. The self-service butcher's department was also revamped. You can see our qualified butchers at work in an open workshop where they cut and pack the fresh meat on the spot. If you have questions or special orders, you can directly talk to them.' The new store lay-out makes shopping even more pleasant and efficient.
Collect&Go prepares your shopping for you
The store has a brand-new Collect&Go pick-up point. Customers of Scherpenheuvel can now send their shopping list online by means of collectandgo.be or the app. The co-workers prepare all products in the pick-up point at the moment the customer chooses. Store manager Evy Vanborren: 'Online shopping has become much more popular. We are happy that we can now offer our customers this service closer to home.' The pick-up point has three parking spaces so customers can easily pick up their groceries.
Sustainable choices
During the renovation, we took sustainability into account, so the renovated Colruyt in Scherpenheuvel is a low-energy store. The store generates energy with solar panels and does not use any fossil fuels. Rainwater is used to clean and to flush the toilets. The car park is equipped with a charging post for electric cars.
The team of Colruyt Scherpenheuvel is ready for you
Because of corona measures, there will not be an open evening. Store manager Evy Vanborren: 'Come and discover the renovated Colruyt in Scherpenheuvel in the first week and receive a small welcome gift. My team and I are looking forward to welcoming everyone in safe conditions. We therefore ask our customers to comply with all government rules.'
