The Portland, Oregon-based company said it had profit of $1.52 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.31 per share.

The maker of outdoor gear posted revenue of $804.7 million in the period.

Columbia Sportswear expects full-year earnings to be $4.55 to $4.80 per share, with revenue in the range of $3.04 billion to $3.08 billion.
