CBI Holds 6th Open Day to Recruit UAE Nationals in Collaboration with EIBFS
Tuesday, November 25, 2014

As part of the Bank's efforts to attract, train and retain UAE National talent, Commercial Bank International (CBI) conducted its 6th open day for 2014 in collaboration with Emirates Institute for Banking & Financial Studies (EIBFS). The event was held at EIBFS' premises in Dubai.

During the open day, instant interviews were conducted at CBI's stand for all UAE Nationals interested in taking a Banking and Finance career path with the Bank. The initiative comes in line with the CBI's strategy to maintain its leading position in the field of Emiratization with UAE Nationals currently representing 35% of its workforce. The Bank aims to increase the percentage to 40% by the end of 2014.

Commenting on the importance of the Open Day, Zainab Noureldini, CBI's Head of Human Resources, stated: "Building local National talent in the fast growing financial services industry has always been a key strategic priority for CBI. We have adopted an ambitious Emiratization plan that reinforces our ongoing efforts to encourage local young talents to join the Bank as we strive to develop a pipeline of qualified UAE Nationals capable to be leaders in the banking and finance industry. With the right people on board, along with the right training and support, we aim to be a leading bank in the development and empowerment of national human resources and to be recognized as the employer of choice for Emiratis."

CBI launched a full-fledged campaign to step up its Emiratization efforts and promote the role of local talents and expertise in the nation's banking sector, namely its National Development program 'AJYAL' and the Bank's Students Sponsorship Program (Mustakbal). In this context, CBI launched a far-reaching media campaign to encourage local young talents to join the thriving banking sector and apply to CBI.

The Bank held previously this year two Open Days in Abu Dhabi and three in Dubai with tremendous success. CBI also participated in most of the career fairs organized in the United Arab Emirates. "These open days are in line with our overall people strategy, offering us a platform to attract more talented UAE nationals to our teams. We will continue to serve our nation by keeping it our main objective to further strengthen and empower our national human resources through tailored training and development programs and the wealth of career opportunities that CBI offers," added Noureldini.
