CBI Steps Up Emiratization Efforts with Two Open Recruitment Days in September
Wednesday, September 10, 2014

As part of its efforts to develop a pool of qualified UAE National leaders in the banking and finance industry, CBI announced today that it is holding two open days to recruit qualified and talented young UAE Nationals willing to venture into the world of banking and finance.

This step comes in line with the Bank's strategy to maintain its leading position in the field of Emiratization with UAE Nationals currently representing 35% of its workforce. The Bank plans to increase the percentage to 40% by the end of 2014. For that aim, CBI regularly holds recruitment open days, with two days scheduled on the 10th and 11th September, at Emirates Towers in Dubai, from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm.

Commenting on the importance of the campaign, Kris Babicci, CBI's Chief executive Officer, stated: "Building local National talent in the fast growing financial services industry has always been a key strategic priority for CBI. We have adopted an ambitious Emiratization plan that reinforces our ongoing efforts to encourage local young talents to join the Bank as we strive to develop a pipeline of qualified UAE Nationals capable to be leaders in the banking and finance industry."

"With the right people on board, along with the right training and support, we aim to be a leading bank in the development and empowerment of national human resources and to be recognized as the employer of choice for Emiratis," affirmed Babicci.

Zainab Noureldini, CBI's Head of Human Resources commented: "CBI held two Open days previously this year in Abu Dhabi with tremendous success. Furthermore, CBI participates in most of the career fairs organized in the United Arab Emirates. In this context, CBI launched a far-reaching media recruitment campaign to encourage local young talents to join the thriving banking sector by applying to CBI. These open days are in line with our overall people strategy and aid in developing practical schemes to add more talented UAE nationals to our teams. We will continue to serve our nation by keeping it our main objective to further strengthen and empower our national human resources through strong training and development platforms and the wealth of career opportunities that CBI offers."

CBI launched a full-fledged campaign to step up its Emiratization efforts and promote the role of local talents and expertise in the nation's banking sector, namely its National Development program 'AJYAL'.

CBI was awarded the title of 'Fastest Growing Bank in the UAE' and 'Most Improved Bank in the MENA Region' on the much coveted Banker Middle East Industry Awards 2013. The awards were based on the quantitative analysis of key measure indicators such as assets, liabilities, total income, net attributable profit and return on assets, collating data on real size, real growth, and percentage growth to identify the region's leading financial institutions.
