CBA was again ranked #1 for research and analysis of Australian government, semi-government, and Australian dollar SSA bonds and second for Best Overall Research on Australian Fixed Income. The bank rose to second place from third for Best Research on Sustainability and ESG, and jumped from fourth place to second for Best Macroeconomic Research and Analysis.

CBA Chief Economist and Head of Global Economic & Markets Research, Stephen Halmarick, said the bank had either maintained or strengthened its overall rankings since last year's survey.

'I'm very proud of these results which reflect a fantastic effort by the team in analysing and forecasting the Australian economy through the COVID-19 pandemic and detailing the implications for monetary policy and fixed income, credit, commodity and currency markets.

'With CBA having the largest payments data set in the country we are able to provide powerful insights into the economy for our clients and I'd like to acknowledge the exceptional support we receive from our internal data team in delivering these in real time.'
