Commonwealth Bank of Australia's economic research and analysis has ranked very highly in a new industry poll by KangaNews.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has been ranked first for its research and analysis of Australian government, semi-government and Australian dollar sovereign, supranational and agency (SSA) bonds in this year's KangaNews fixed income poll of Australian institutional investors.

CBA was again top ranked for its high grade bond research in the annual survey and rated second for structured finance research as well as trade ideas and research on relative value. The bank was also ranked second for best overall research on Australian fixed income.

Chief Economist Stephen Halmarick said the poll results underline the depth of expertise across CBA's team of fixed income strategists and economists.

'We are delighted to receive this recognition, which reflects our goal of being the top high grade bond house in Australia and our commitment to providing the sharpest analysis, data and insights to our customers,' he said.
