Compañía Cervecerías Unidas S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was CLP 558,502.88 million compared to CLP 469,994.59 million a year ago. Net loss was CLP 10,455.14 million compared to net income of CLP 18,967.86 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was CLP 28.3 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of CLP 51.33 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was CLP 28.3 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of CLP 51.33 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was CLP 1,258,967.82 million compared to CLP 1,039,634.04 million a year ago. Net income was CLP 54,089.32 million compared to CLP 83,351.73 million a year ago. In addition, it produces and distributes Heineken beer; distributes Sol beer and Budweiser beer, and distributes and produces Kunstmann and Austral beer in Chile. The International Business segment includes operations in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. The Company, through Vina San Pedro Tarapaca S.A. (VSPT), produces and markets a range of wine products for the domestic and mainly the export market.
