CEPSA and Fertiberia, S. A have strengthened their strategic alliance by signing an agreement for the joint development of their project in Huelva. This alliance has made Cepsa and Fertiberia strategic partners in the project that hopes to develop 1 GW of electrolysis capacity in Palos de la Frontera, within the framework of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley. The agreement signed represents a further step in their strategy to promote the decarbonization of their respective production processes through the joint development of a large-scale renewable hydrogen plant using green energy and other renewable gases, as well as analyzing other potential industrial synergies.

The renewable hydrogen will be used for Cepsa's and Fertiberia's own industrial consumption, and will enable the manufacture of advanced biofuels, as well as ammonia, AdBlue and sustainable fertilizers.
