Asturienne, a specialist in roofing materials, is mobilizing to meet a growing need among roofing companies to recruit and train young apprentices. With L'École du Toit, the company wants to create a real ecosystem of relationships between its roofing companies, apprentices and partner training centers.

This program enables the company to work alongside its customers to support the industry by attracting young apprentices and promoting the trade and know-how of roofers.

Two pilot classes for the "Professional Roofing and Zinc Worker Title" will be opened in early 2022 in partnership with the CCCA-BTP (Consultation and Coordination Committee for Apprenticeship in Construction and Public Works) in Lille and La Maison des Compagnons du Devoir in the Paris region. The apprentices will be hosted by Asturienne's roofing companies. A wider deployment is then planned for the rest of France.

In direct connection with "RESSOURCES", Saint-Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France's CSR roadmap, and in order to make the new generation of roofers aware of tomorrow's environmental challenges, an additional module on energy renovation and roof insulation solutions will be added to the training. This is a way to meet both recruitment challenges and to anchor corporate social responsibility in the actions of our future partners.
