Hanover, April 26, 2021. This year, Continental is not only celebrating its 150th birthday, but also the 25th anniversary of ContiOnlineContact. The ordering and marketing platform is at the heart of the daily business of many Continental tire dealers and is considered the starting point of the mobility provider's eBusiness commitment.

To date, the company has added more and more options to its offer: Partners can not only order products, view availability live, process invoices and track deliveries. They have access to complaint management functionalities, marketing material. Continental is adding many other features constantly, following a monthly release approach. Further functions are available via the associated smartphone app ECHO, which is available for Android and iOS. Since this year, the offer is also available for tires for industrial and agricultural applications.

'25 years ago, the term smartphone had not yet been invented and my career at Continental was far from starting,' says Claudio Toldi, Head of eBusiness EMEA Replacement Tires. 'It really is a success story that an online tool, which was introduced at a time when words like digitalization had not even entered society's vocabulary, still enjoys such a high number of users today.' The platform is currently used by around 10,000 customers every day.

Development of digital services part of Vision 2030

The development of customer-centric digital tire solutions is also at the heart of Continental's 'Vision 2030'. The tire manufacturer will continue to systematically develop new business models and create an entire ecosystem of smart digital solutions centered on its premium tires. As one of the world's largest suppliers of electronics, sensor systems and software in the mobility industry, Continental has a decisive competitive edge in this respect.

ContiOnlineContact now integrates into a wide range of different services with which the company makes the work of tire dealers, service providers, garages and many more workshops easier. Continental will continue to intensify its commitment to developing new and enhancing existing service offerings for its customers in the coming years.
