Corporación Interamericana de Entretenimiento, S.A.B. de C.V. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 900.841 million compared to MXN 525.366 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 154.042 million compared to MXN 825.541 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 151.850 million compared to MXN 616.951 million a year ago. For the half year, sales was MXN 1,688.831 million compared to MXN 2,864.172 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 286.919 million compared to MXN 564.531 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 269.080 million compared to MXN 559.407 million a year ago.
Corporacion Interamericana de Entretenimiento SAB de CV (CIE) is a Mexico-based company engaged in the leisure sector. The Companyâs business activities are structured in four divisions: CIE Entretenimiento, which specializes in the organization and sponsorship of concerts and live performances, venue management, ticketing, souvenirs sales and artist management and representation; CIE Las Americas, active in the gaming sector, as well as it manages the Complejo Las Americas, an entertainment complex that comprises a hippodrome, a convention center, a childrenâs theme park and restaurants; CIE Parques de Diversiones, which operates two amusement parks located in Colombia, and CIE Commercial, which offers advertising and marketing services. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned such subsidiaries as Ocesa Anfiteatro SA de CV, Operadora de Centros de Espectaculos SA de CV, CIE Internacional SA de CV and Publitop SA de CV, among others.
