Decision Alberta to Provide Full Election Results and Analysis Province-Wide Across TV, Streaming, Radio, and on Social Media

ALBERTA, May 8, 2023 - With the upcoming Alberta 2023 election set for May 29, Global News, the province's most trusted news source, will have nonstop reporting and analysis with Decision Alberta. Leading up to, during, and following election night, the network's comprehensive multi-platform coverage will be available on TV on Global Calgary, Global Edmonton and Global Lethbridge; on radio on QR Calgary, 630 CHED and Global News Radio 880 Edmonton; via streaming at Globalnews.ca or the Global TV App; and on social media.

The road to the election will be covered by the Global News Provincial Team who will be keeping Albertans up to date, tracking promises and checking the facts to help voters make informed decisions.

On May 18 at 6 p.m. Global News and CTV News co-present a special live presentation of the 2023 Alberta Provincial Leaders Debate with United Conservative Leader Danielle Smith and NDP Leader Rachel Notley. Moderated by Global Edmonton's Scott Roberts and CTV's Erin Isfeld, this debate will delve into the issues, the controversies, and the accountability Albertans are demanding in this pivotal election. The special will be televised live on Global TV, CTV, CBC and Rogers across Alberta, along with a live stream on Post Media. It can also be viewed online on Global News' YouTube, Globalnews.ca, Global TV app or listened to on QR Calgary, 630 CHED and Global News Radio 880 Edmonton.

Election night coverage will be hosted by Global Calgary's Global News at 5 and Global News Hour at 6 anchor Linda Olsen and Global Edmonton's Global News Hour at 6 anchor Scott Roberts, with provincial team coverage throughout the evening along with Global News Chief Political Correspondent David Akin. Global Calgary's Dallas Flexhaug, Joel Senick and Blake Lough will be live at UCP headquarters in Calgary and Global Edmonton's Carole Anne Devaney and Saif Kaisar will be live from NDP headquarters in Edmonton. 630 CHED's Shaye Ganam and QR Calgary's Rob Breakenridge will provide additional commentary making Global News the go-to destination for up-to-the-minute election results and analysis.

Mercedes Stephenson and The West Block will have feature interviews and analysis of the election with a special edition of the program from Alberta on May 28. Dawna Friesen and Global National will also be broadcasting live from Edmonton on the eve of the election and on election night with a team of correspondents in the field, including David Akin, Mercedes Stephenson and Heather Yourex-West.

Global News will also reactivate its Promise Tracker, a dedicated promise-tracking page on Globalnews.ca to help Albertans hold parties, and the eventual government, accountable.
