In order to smoothly advance the electric vessel project along the main stream of Yangtze River, COSCO SHIPPING Development, COSCO SHIPPING Tianjin and China Classification Society Wuhan Branch recently convened a seminar on the electric vessel project. Liu Chong, director and the general manager of COSCO SHIPPING Development, Xu Li, the general manager of China Classification Society Wuhan Branch, and Wang Ran, the chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Tianjin, attended the seminar. 　　The seminar was convened by means of a video conference, during which the relevant person-in-charge of COSCO SHIPPING Development highlighted the background, significance and progress of the electric vessel project as well as the relevant demand. The relevant person-in-charge of Wuhan Branch introduced, among others, the current development status, actual application aboard and safety measures of electric vessels and box type power batteries, the evaluation methods and procedures of the electric vessel project, as well as the evaluation key points of box type power batteries. 　　Liu Chong, the general manager, said that COSCO SHIPPING Group has a strong background of cooperation with the headquarters of China Classification Society, and COSCO SHIPPING Development has maintained good connection with China Classification Society Wuhan Branch.
