Costco Wholesale Corp. said Thursday that it now indirectly owns Costco-Taiwan after purchasing the remaining 45% minority interest in the joint venture for $1.05 billion.

Costco estimated that the purchase will be approximately 1% to 1.5% accretive to earnings per share.

The company operates 833 warehouses across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Japan, the U.K., Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Spain, France, China and Iceland.
