Costco Wholesale Corp.'s net sales jumped 34% in the month of April, continuing its strong sales momentum.
Net sales were $15.21 billion in the four weeks ended May 2, up from $11.39 billion in the same period last year.
Comparable sales, or those from Costco warehouses open for more than a year, rose 33%, across all its regions. U.S. comparable sales increased 30%. Meanwhile, e-commerce sales rose 21% in April from the prior year.
Excluding gasoline prices and foreign exchange rates, comparable sales were 24% company-wide. It was up 25% in the U.S. as adjusted. Online sales rose 17% by the same measure.
