Costco has big expansion plans this year that include opening 28 stores and spending $4 billion on logistics strategy and infrastructure.

The tech investment reflects a 10% increase on logistics compared to 2021, according to a WPTV report. The wholesale retailer launched 20 stores worldwide last year.

"This year, we're looking to open at least 25 net new units, including second warehouses in each of China and France and our first location in New Zealand," CFO Richard Galanti told analysts during the recent fourth quarter earnings call.

The company plans to relocate five locations.
