May is Miracle Balloon time at Costco, a month dedicated to the health and well-being of local children. Members will have the chance to donate online or in-warehouse to Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. As the only CMN Hospital in the area, all funds raised locally stay local to help children treated at UC Davis Children's Hospital.

Costco's annual Miracle Balloon campaign is the company's primary fundraiser for CMN. This month-long event takes place at all Costco locations in the United States and Canada. A total of 16 area warehouses from Redding to Tracy will raise money to help UC Davis Children's Hospital patients by asking members to purchase a CMN Miracle Balloon at checkout. The Costco Business Center, Central Fill Center and Depot will also take part in the fundraising effort.

For 35 years, Costco and its members have raised money for CMN to fund much needed medical treatments, equipment and facilities at local children's hospitals. Contributions to CMN impact the ability of hospitals like UC Davis Children's Hospital to meet urgent needs, while also maintaining an exceptional standard of care.

In 2021, Costco donated $1,180,730.54 to UC Davis Children's Hospital, a 6% increase from 2020, despite having two less warehouses. Costco's overall donation to CMN at UC Davis totals $14,411,391.43.

Costco has raised more than $500 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals since 1987. Currently, more than 600 Costco locations participate in a fundraising campaign for their local CMN Hospital.

The CMN fundraising campaign at Costco runs May 1-31.
