LEBANON, Tenn. (AP) _ Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. (CBRL) on Tuesday reported fiscal first-quarter earnings of $33.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Lebanon, Tennessee-based company said it had net income of $1.41. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $1.52 per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.63 per share.

The restaurant operator posted revenue of $784.9 million in the period.

Cracker Barrel shares have increased slightly more than 8% since the beginning of the year.
