LEBANON, Tenn. (AP) _ Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. (CBRL) on Tuesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $36.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Lebanon, Tennessee-based company said it had net income of $1.53. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $2.25 per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.42 per share.

The restaurant operator posted revenue of $784.4 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $791.2 million.

For the year, the company reported net income of $254.5 million, or $10.71 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $2.82 billion.

Cracker Barrel shares have increased slightly more than 5% since the beginning of the year.
