PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) _ Craft Brew Alliance Inc. (BREW) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $598,000, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Portland, Oregon-based company said it had profit of 3 cents per share.

The brewer that makes craft beers like Kona, Widmer Brothers and Redhook posted revenue of $45.8 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $43.9 million.

Craft Brew Alliance shares have decreased 7% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $15.34, a climb of roughly 4% in the last 12 months.
