STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Crane Co. (CR) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $14.8 million.

The Stamford, Connecticut-based company said it had net income of 25 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, were 64 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 47 cents per share.

The maker of engineered industrial products posted revenue of $677.9 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in October, Crane expects its per-share earnings to range from 70 cents to 85 cents.

The company expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.30 to $4.10 per share, with revenue ranging from $2.79 billion to $2.92 billion.

Crane shares have declined 29% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $61.44, a decrease of 29% in the last 12 months.
