CROOZ, Inc. (JASDAQ:2138) agreed to acquire Candle inc. for ¥1.25 billion on October 13, 2016. Upon completion Candle inc. will become a subsidiary of CROOZ, Inc. As on September 27, 2016, CROOZ, Inc. singed letter of intent to acquire Candle inc. Under the terms of the transaction, CROOZ, Inc. acquires 0.043 million shares. During the year ended February 2016, Candle inc. reported net assets of ¥60.9 million, total assets of ¥61.6 million, revenue of ¥72.4 million, operating loss of ¥8.7 million and net loss of ¥8.9 million.
CROOZ,Inc. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the provision of services through the Internet. The Company operates in three business segments, including the Internet Content segment, the Internet Commerce segment and the Internet Solution segment. The Company mainly involves in the provision of social games, as well as the blog sites and Internet mail order sites for women. Through the provision of social game named Mobage, the Company obtains usage fees from the users via social game platform companies. It also involves in the provision of charging contents to communication carriers, as well as the provision of licensed contents.
