Festival that debates UN SDGs arrives in Brazil and will have ISA CTEEP participation
The event takes place between August 9 and 13 and will show the initiatives carried out to accelerate sustainable development in Brazil and the Americas

São Paulo, August 9, 2021 - On the next 13th, at 12:00 pm, ISA CTEEP, the largest private electricity transmission company in the country, will be present on the SDG 13 panel, on climate change, at the Knowing the SDG Digital Festival (Festival Conhecendo os ODS Digital, in Portuguese) event, which will take place between the 9th and the 13th, through an interactive online platform.

On the occasion, the company's environmental program will be presented: the Jaguar Connection, considered the best corporate program for offsetting emissions by the Environmental Finance Awards ranking. The initiative aims to support compliance with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the commitments signed by countries at the 21st United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP-21) of the UN 2015.

'It will be a pleasure to share our case with the public and, with it, collaborate so that more people and companies engage in the practice of sustainable development, so that we can reach the Goals stipulated by the 2030 Agenda even faster. Thus, we continue with our purpose of sustainable value to society', comments Ana Carolina David, communication and sustainability manager at ISA CTEEP.
Since 2019, the company has been carbon neutral and works to proactively contribute to global environmental challenges. Therefore, it stipulated, in its 2030 Strategy, to effectively collaborate with the priority scope of six SDGs, including: SDG 7 - Affordable and clean energy; SDG 13 - Climate Action; and SDG 15 - Life on Land, which aim to contribute to environmental protection through initiatives aimed at conserving biodiversity and combating climate change, with alliances and cooperation (SDG 17) as a transversal support axis.
Other initiatives in favor of the environment
ISA CTEEP's goal is to reduce the emission of two million tons of CO², across the planet, by 2030. For this reason, through actions in all its facilities, the company, promotes measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy and water consumption.

In 2020, for example, through specific maintenance actions, in addition to the improvement of techniques applied in the annual maintenance plan for the assets, the company reduced by more than 8% the emission of SF6, a gas with an impact on the greenhouse effect, but essential for the electrical sector due to its insulating properties.

Also in the last year, more than 98% of the company's entire flex-fuel fleet of light vehicles was fueled with renewable, less polluting fuel.
