Press release Reprogramming the payment of the Basic Network Existing System (RBSE)
São Paulo, April 22, 2021 - ISA CTEEP, the largest private electric energy transmission company in the country, informs that, today, the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) judged the administrative appeal filed by the company against the Approval Resolution No. 2.714/2020 on the result of the 1st Periodic Tariff Review of the company. The regulator reprogrammed the payment of the indemnity debt of the Basic Network Existing System (RBSE) from five to eight years, maintaining the criteria previously established in ANEEL Normative Resolution No. 762/2017.

Although it reflects the mismatch of the financial flow established in Approval Resolution No. 2.714/2020, the measure ends the regulatory discussion of almost a decade on the remuneration of the financial component of RBSE and preserves the economic value for the company, since it concludes the payment of the financial component of RBSE in 2028; reduces debt amortization with the financial component of RBSE with no effect on the increase in the balance payable, in addition to maintaining the remuneration at the regulatory cost of capital (WACC) defined in the Periodic Tariff Review of 2018.

As of the 2023/2024 cycle, the payment flows provided by ANEEL return to levels similar to those approved in Approval Resolution No. 2.714/2020.
Therefore, the measure, along these lines, does not change ISA CTEEP's strategy of sustainable growth, investment and austerity in costs, in the quest to maximize the generation of value for its shareholders and stakeholders.

Still, considering the context of the economic crisis caused by COVID-19, the company contributes in the search for the regulator for alternatives to cushion the increase in energy tariffs to consumers in the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 cycles.
