LEXINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Curis Inc. (CRIS) on Tuesday reported a loss of $11.1 million in its third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Lexington, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 12 cents.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 13 cents per share.

The drug developer posted revenue of $3 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.7 million.
