BRISBANE, Calif. (AP) _ Cutera Inc. (CUTR) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $2.2 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Brisbane, California-based company said it had profit of 12 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 31 cents per share.

The maker of laser skin treatments posted revenue of $49.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $23.9 million, or $1.43 per share. Revenue was reported as $147.7 million.

Cutera shares have climbed 33% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $32.17, a climb of 21% in the last 12 months.
