CVC Brasil Operadora e Agência de Viagens S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 269.74 million compared to BRL 115.52 million a year ago. Net loss was BRL 94.81 million compared to BRL 171.02 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.41 compared to BRL 0.87 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.41.
For the six months, sales was BRL 562.58 million compared to BRL 281.46 million a year ago. Net loss was BRL 261.62 million compared to BRL 248.06 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was BRL 1.15 compared to BRL 1.27 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was BRL 1.15.
CVC Brasil Operadora e Agência de Viagens S.A. is one of the main Brazilian tourist groups. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- sale of tourist packages (911%): flights, transfers, accommodation, travel insurance, cultural and professional trips, excursions, etc. 62.2% of the turnover is realized in Brazil ;
- sale of cruise packages (9%).
At the end of 2018, products and services were marketed through a network of 29 tourist sales outlets and 1,302 exclusive travel agencies, through more than 7,150 independent agents and via the online distribution platforms cvc.com.br and submarinoviagens.com.br.
