--Software solutions company Cvent Holding Corp. rejected a $3.9 billion acquisition offer from investing giant Blackstone Inc., Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

--Blackstone is taking a break from the negotiations after Cvent, which is controlled by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners Management LLC, rejected its $8 a share offer as too low, the report said.

--Cvent, Blackstone and Vista equity declined to comment, according to Reuters.
