CyberLink Corp., a facial recognition technology provider, has added tools, temperature scans, mask detection, contactless payments and more into its FaceMe facial recognition software. The software can identify multiple people together as they enter spaces, detect their temperatures and whether they are wearing masks, according to a press release.

End-users can integrate FaceMe into a number of devices such as digital signage, kiosks, point-of-sale systems, security cameras and IoT devices. The platform works on Windows, Linux, Android and iOS and meets NISTS's Facial Recognition Vendor Test for accuracy.

"Brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a surge in demand for technology that enables a nearly entirely touchless day-to-day life and temperature checks have become a vital tool to protect the health and safety of individuals," Jau Huang CEO, CyberLink said in the release. "These new FaceMe features are designed to accommodate this new world and facilitate a smooth transition for businesses and workplaces to not only reopen, but also remain open, with complete confidence."
