Improving productivity, reducing downtime, and delivering a unified operator
experience is crucial to the world's largest renewable energy company RES.
Serving multiple energy providers they need to ensure that their global energy
assets are always running. Any unexpected downtime would negatively impact

To reflect their global portfolio, they need an easy way to understand what is
happening on the ground, 24/7, 365 days a year - and to keep their customers
updated with how their energy assets are performing. The solution needs to be
scalable and consistent, so their teams have the same information and control
room experience, whether they are in Glasgow or in Sydney.

MULTIPLE DATA STREAMS 

To improve team efficiency and avoid information overload, the senior control
room team wanted to rationalize the number of data streams being used. They
looked to Cyviz for an easy-to-use platform that could consolidate all the
information needed and one that could provide a consistent and collaborative
user experience worldwide.

The RES control room uses many different sources to understand what's occurring
across its solar, wind, and offshore energy assets. Multiple data streams need
to be monitored at the same time, so the control room team needed a solution
that would act as 'a single source of truth'.

FUTURE PLANS

The Cyviz control room solution, incorporating Cyviz Easy Software Platform,
video walls and controller as well as remote support and management
capabilities, became the center of an entire re-fit of the existing main control
room in Glasgow with a secondary location setup in Sydney. This included
shifting the room from a traditional theatre-style setup to an 'in the round'
layout that better facilitates information sharing and collaboration between the
team. 

With the Glasgow and Sydney control rooms re-fitted and working seamlessly with
Cyviz systems, RES has a reliable and intuitive way to track their asset
performance and maintenance needs. As they continue to scale globally, the Cyviz
system will adapt with them, either adding additional functionality and new
workflows to the existing control rooms or supporting new regional control
rooms.

"This is something that was key when choosing Cyviz. If we expand to other
sites, we want them to be an extension of our existing control rooms. We don't
