Dabur India Ltd. said its first-quarter net profit fell 5.9% from a year earlier, as the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted operations and weighed on sales.

The Indian consumer goods company said Thursday that net profit for the quarter ended June 30 fell to 3.42 billion Indian rupees ($45.6 million). That slightly exceeded the estimate of INR3.36 billion from a FactSet poll of analysts.

First-quarter revenue decreased 13% from a year earlier to INR19.80 billion.
