Daewoo Engineering and Construction Company has been successful to secure a contract worth $730 million in Qatar to carry out work on the extension of E-Ring expressway in the southern region of the capital city of Doha. The company has won the deal from the public works authority of Qatar - Ashghal. Daewoo E&C will be serving as the exclusive contractor of the project as per the terms of the agreement. The project work in Doha is anticipated to be accomplished within a 42-month period. An extension of the expressway linking the southern regions of the Qatari capital city by 4.5km, plus the construction of 4km-long roads, with 8 to 14 lanes, and three multi-level intersections are envisioned in the project. The project, with three multi-level crossing junctions, has future prospects for huge profits taking the lofty construction costs into account, revealed a media report citing a Daewoo E&C spokesman as saying.
