New Daktronics Video Board to Enhance Live Event Experience at College of the Holy Cross Events

15HD LED technology featuring more than 550,000 LEDs coming to Fitton Field this spring

BROOKINGS, S.D. - Apr. 5, 2021 - Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with College of the Holy Cross to design, manufacture and install a new LED video board for the Crusaders' football stadium, Fitton Field, in Worcester, Massachusetts, this spring. Events held at the stadium will share messages on the more than 900-square-foot end zone display featuring more than 550,000 LEDs.

'We are excited to partner with the College to make this project, which will benefit our entire campus community, a reality,' said Director of Athletics Marcus Blossom. 'This video board will significantly enhance our football game day environment and will provide the College with a variety of opportunities to support new or improved campus events at Fitton Field. This will allow our fans to enjoy Crusader football games in a whole new way, and we are looking forward to adding the next level of entertainment to Saturdays this fall.'

The new end zone display will measure approximately 19 feet high by 48 feet wide and will feature a 15HD pixel layout to bring excellent image clarity and contrast to fans in every seat. The display will also feature industry-leading environmental protection to ensure it is operating as expected during in the outdoor elements of Massachusetts.

'The addition of the new full color LED display will take the fan experience to a new level, whether it be for athletic events, social gatherings or outdoor commencements. The display is capable of variable content zoning allowing it to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to share any combination of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics and game information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

In addition to the equipment installation, the Crusaders will also receive a content package that will be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services.
