Danaher Thursday tweaked its full-year guidance to be more optimistic, forecasting that core sales growth will likely exceed 20% in 2021, rather than coming in at about that level.

The medical and diagnostics company said it expects base-business core sales to grow by more than 10% year over year in 2021, and that core sales growth will top 20% including the company's Covid-19 response activity.

Three months ago, Danaher was forecasting core sales growth would be about 20% for the year.

In the fourth quarter, core revenue growth will be in the low to mid teens year over year, Danaher forecast.
