Danone reported better-than-expected second-quarter net sales on Thursday, with French food group Danone citing a 2.1% rise in volume/mix across all categories. The maker of Activia yogurts, Evian water and Aptamil baby food said like-for-like sales rose to 6.94 billion euros between April and June, against a consensus forecast of 3.7% growth to 6.87 billion euros in the period.
However, this compares with 7.24 billion euros in the same period of 2023, down 4.1% due to the deconsolidation of EDP's Russian operations, Horizon Organic and Wallaby, and to a lesser extent Michel & Augustin.
