Marcel Dassault was born on January 22, 1892 in Paris.

An aeronautical industrialist since before the Second World War, jet aviation brought him international recognition in the 1960s, notably thanks to the success of the Mirage III, Mirage IV and the Falcon family.

He was a press executive and politician, but also had a passion for architecture, cinema, banking and the stock market.

He marked his century by doing much, in the words of General De Gaulle, for the "standing of France".

Beyond the mythical figure, Marcel Dassault remains a visionary man with a tremendous thirst for creation and a constant look to the future, even in adversity.

This spirit still drives and inspires our company today.
