Press Release, Wednesday 8th: Following on from the announcement last month of the company's move into Waterford, Deliveroo continues its expansion by announcing plans to open its service in Co. Wicklow. Deliveroo will continue its investment into the South East by focussing initially on Greystones and Bray.

Deliveroo, which launched in Ireland in 2015, works with more than 1,000 self-employed riders, and over 1800 restaurant partners across Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick and most recently Waterford.

Deliveroo's move into Wicklow will be a boost for local restaurants that wish to introduce or broaden their delivery offering. The company is already in the process of signing up potential restaurant partners in Wicklow, offering them the opportunity to expand their customer base further than before.

Deliveroo is on the look-out to sign up delivery drivers and riders in Wicklow to deliver food and groceries to customers' doors in as little as 20 minutes.

The expanding Ireland Deliveroo team is looking for people who value on-demand, flexible work and want the freedom to choose when, where and how to work. It is a great opportunity for people who have other commitments, such as existing work or students who are looking for flexible work to fit around study.

The company saw rider demand soar during the last year, and now works with over 1,000 riders across Ireland. This rapid growth in on-demand work underlines the vital role that Deliveroo is playing to provide work opportunities for people across Irish communities.

To keep riders safe while out on the road, the company offers all riders free accident and injury insurance to ensure all riders are protected. Deliveroo also offers other perks, such as free training courses for riders and their families.

Paddy Quinlan, Growth Manager for Deliveroo Ireland said: 'We've seen strong demand for Deliveroo in Wicklow and we're excited to be launching there soon. We're pleased to be able to create new work opportunities for local people and to enable restaurants to grow their businesses through delivery.

'The team is looking for people with passion, drive and great customer service who are seeking the added benefit of flexible work amongst other perks. Anyone who's interested should go to our website to sign up.'

Deliveroo is focused on providing the ultimate food delivery experience. Customers have the option to schedule orders via the Deliveroo app up to one day in advance or receive food as soon as possible from independent eateries, traditional takeaways, high-quality chain restaurants, supermarkets and food and grocery retailers conveniently delivered to their homes.

Deliveroo's arrival in Bray and Greystones will also be a boost to local hospitality businesses, which will be able to reach new customers and grow their offering through delivery. Restaurants, takeaways and grocery retailers can apply at https://restaurants.deliveroo.com/en-ie/ to become a Deliveroo partner.
