More frequent and larger orders have delivered a significant revenue boost for Delivery Hero.

"We are seeing further acceleration in growth across most segments," said Niklas Östberg, CEO of the food delivery service, on Thursday. On this basis, he reaffirmed the company's full-year targets for 2025. Following the announcement, Delivery Hero shares rose by 3.9 percent in Lang & Schwarz trading.

The group reported a 22 percent increase in revenue for the first quarter, reaching 3.5 billion euros, slightly surpassing market expectations. Gross merchandise volume (GMV) traded via the platform grew by nine percent to 12.4 billion euros. However, the South Korean business acted as a drag due to ongoing political turbulence in the country. Excluding South Korea, GMV rose by 22 percent.

The company continues to target GMV growth of eight to ten percent and group revenue growth of 17 to 19 percent for 2025. Operating profit is expected to rise to between 975 million and 1.025 billion euros.
