--Delta Air Lines Inc. is in talks with European plane maker Airbus SE to delay the delivery of at least 40 aircraft that were set to be handed over to the U.S. carrier this year, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.

--Meanwhile, in a move to boost cash, Delta is also planning to raise $750 million from a sale-leaseback deal for nine of the remaining Airbus jets scheduled to be handed over, Bloomberg reported.
