FTI and Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. Preparing SIs and ISPs for Industry 4.0 Era
The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) in collaboration with Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. held a seminar on 'Technology and Innovation in Developing Industry 4.0' for System Integrators (SI) and Industrial Service Providers (ISPs) at Delta's headquarter. FTI team was led by Dr. Katiya Greigarn, Chairman of The Committee of Industry 4.0 while Delta's team was led by Mr. Hsieh Shen-yen, President. The event aimed to discuss and share information with SIs and ISPs on new breakthrough in cloud automation solution, smart manufacturing, smart machine and smart green factory for factory modernization to uplift both quality and productivity in the era of Industry 4.0. A highlight from the session has identified that in developing Thailand's industry to Industry 4.0 level, Thailand is deemed to have insufficient supply of ISPs from five groups, namely, the suppliers, consultants, SI, builders and program developers. There is high demand especially for SIs whose services are needed in rendering comprehensive services to various industries. SI's roles include installation of a new set up from design to hardware, networking and maintenance aspects.
